The assessment has five sections:

  • a 20-minute test on mechanical reasoning,
  • an untimed engineering knowledge test related to manufacturing and design engineering,
  • a 134-item personality test,
  • a 44-item general mental ability test (for verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning, and abstract reasoning) &
  • 35 open-ended sentences for which candidates must provide narrative responses.

The test takes most candidates approximately 2 - 3 hours to complete.

The assessment report for the Engineer V Test will provide you with a graphic representation of scores in covered areas, aptitude results and their explanation, narrative responses with instructions on how to approach them, candidate's strengths and developmental concerns, and suggestions for interview questions.
